I’m trying to train a model on colab, and I’m getting “HTTPError: 429 Client Error: Too Many Requests” rate limits when trying to access my own dataset on hugging face. I upgraded to HF Pro and still getting this limit. How can I lift it?

First, even with Pro or Enterprise, retries are not unlimited.
That aside, the older version of datasets library has a feature that is not exactly a bug but tends to trigger a 429 error.
Additionally, since it’s on Colab, you’re more likely to end up with the same IP as others, which might make you more prone to 429 errors.

It turned out to be a cli authorization issue. I simply forgot to re-login after connecting to a new colab session. Thanks
